Dr Schiavone surgically places and restores implants in his office. No referral to a specialist for the surgical placement is needed in most cases. Not only can you replace missing teeth with implants but you can anchor dentures in place that were once loose and difficult to use.
Dr. Schiavone has additional training and state certification in conscious sedation dentistry. Imagine being able to go to the dentist without fear of the procedure. In addition, we have nitrous oxide gas available.
Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 60-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays. We are proud to have a Kodak computerized, digital x-ray system.
Computer aided design and computer aided milling allows Dr Schiavone to manufacturer crowns and implant restorations while you wait. It also avoids messy, gaggy molds of your teeth that were used in the past to make these restoration. We also use this machine to make clear aligner orthodontic appliances.
